Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site
Bentonville Battlefield is a North Carolina state historic site located in Johnston County. It is the site of the 1865 Battle of Bentonville, fought in the waning days of the American Civil War. Check out artifacts, the Harper House, the Harper family cemetery, a Confederate cemetery, a monument area, and take a 10-mile self-guided driving tour to view the trenches and fields of the battle.
