Anderson Creek County Park
Anderson Creek County Park is located in southwestern Harnett County and consists of 1014 acres between Nursery Rd and Powell Farm Rd. The park will be developed through phases into a multi-use facility that will offer a variety of activites and experiences for the local residents.
Barbecue Creek Park
Barbecue Creek Park is adjacent to Western Harnett High School ad Western Harnett Middle School. The park includes 6 completely renovated tennis courts, 2 lighted baseball/softball fields, a batting cage, a multi-purpose building, a multi-purpose field, 0.5 miles of walking trails, a picnic area, and a playground.
Cape Fear Shriner County Park
The Cape Fear Shiner Park runs adjacent to the Sandhills Farm Park. The site is next to the Cape Fear River and is located in the Cape Fear River Basin. The park is also home to a Storybook Trail, courtesy of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors and the Harnett County Public Library!

Raven Rock State Park
Located in Harnett County 40 miles southwest of Raleigh, Raven Rock State Park boasts the namesake 150-foot crystalline structure that overlooks the Cape Fear River. The trails along the bluffs that lead to the rock are dotted with beautiful wildflowers, including mountain laurels. Alternate hikes towards the river reward visitors with landmarks like Lanier Falls Rapids, Fish Traps Rapids, and the remains of the Northington Lock and Dam. Other accesses offer bridle trails, bike trails, and a campground with RV camping and camper cabins.
